The goal of education should be to learn about oneself and the world one inhabits. To understand how past, present, and future are connected – both individually and communally. Education should help students understand what is going on and empower them to shape their future.
Too many students graduate without critical thinking ability, minimal workforce skill, disinterest in the community at large, and constrained ability to secure a stable future. Education can change that. Awareness and knowledge are keys that unlock a multitude of doors.
At 360 Citizens, we believe that a rising tide lifts all boats. So we focus on communities and groups that have experienced chronic underinvestment. Worse, intentional exclusion from opportunity.
Below are some of our current endeavors. We continually seek ways to support groups that are overlooked and dismissed so that everyone can succeed. Contact us with any suggestions or questions.
We believe that a focus on the least of these benefits everyone. The educational resources that can adequately prepare students with learning disabilities can also serve those without them. The community support for historically disenfranchised groups such as Black and Native Americans, benefits everyone in the economy.
