About Course
In this course, students will study and review arithmetic skills they can apply in their personal lives, in their future careers, and in making wise consumer decisions. This class will consist of a review of percentages, ratios, and averages, occupational topics (details on jobs, wages, and taxes), budgeting, cash purchases buying cars and houses, credit cards, and more. Students will complete activities such as how to balance a checking account, plan a road trip, calculate gas mileage, calculate the amount of paint needed to paint a room, and fill out a tax form.
