Have a blast building, sharing, and breeding virtual dragons! Learn about heredity, but instead of breeding pea plants like Gregor Mendel, students complete a simulation to breed dragons and learn how dominant and recessive traits are passed down through multiple generations. The results of certain dragon characteristics resemble Mendel’s first and second experiments. Students will learn how to use Punnett squares, male and female dragon genotypes, offspring traits, probabilities, as well as background information about Mendel’s experiments.
