About Course

Take a tour of ancient China, the Americas, and Phoenicia (modern-day Lebanon).

Every 4 weeks, we will cover one ancient civilization. Students will be provided with printable guided notes, complete online reading investigations, and conduct geography Webquests.
In Ancient China, we will cover the Shang, Zhou, Qin, and Han Dynasties. In the Americas, we will discuss the Aztec, Maya, and Inca cultures. Finally, we will learn about the trade, shipbuilding, and rise and fall of the Phoenicians.

We will finish the course with a Phoenician trading simulation.

What Will You Learn?

  • Know how to put critical thinking skills to use
  • Know how to analyze visuals, primary source excerpts, and maps to make predictions about the content they will learn about.
  • Realize how economy, leadership, social classes, geography, religion, and achievements are all part of history
